We are currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist who is organized, client-focused, and experienced in a fast-paced pet care or veterinary setting.
Position Overview
As the first point of contact for our clients, the Front Desk Receptionist plays a critical role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and positive presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and pets in a warm, professional manner
- Manage check-in and check-out for boarding, daycare, and grooming services
- Answer phones, respond to messages, and handle client inquiries promptly
- Process payments, deposits, and account balances accurately
- Schedule reservations and services using Gingr software
- Maintain accurate client and pet records
- Communicate clearly with kennel and grooming teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Work collaboratively with kennel and grooming departments to follow and support standard operating procedures
- Follow established procedures and company standards consistently
Qualifications
- Previous front desk or receptionist experience required
- Experience in the pet care or veterinary industry strongly preferred
- Experience with Gingr software or similar product preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Professional communication skills, both in person and on the phone
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Compensation & Schedule
- $18 to $21 per hour, depending on experience
- Opportunity for additional income through generous client tips
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Weekend availability required

As the parents of a gentle Golden Retriever, a shy Tibetan Spaniel, an elderly cat, and a happy bird, we knew firsthand how hard it was to find a place to care for our pets just as we did. We wanted to know that they felt comfortable, warm, and loved even if it was an unfamiliar environment. In a chain link kennel, that’s a hard hard thing to achieve.
Our dream was to create a place of warmth and familiarity, a second home for many other well-loved pets. The Renaissance Pet Resort & Spa opened its doors in August 2002 and has been a favorite vacation spot for many four-legged friends. When parents travel to distant places around the world or just a few miles away, they know their beloved pets are having fun too!
Since 2002, our family has changed and grown. All lived a wonderfully long life and we’re happy for the time they blessed our hearts & our lives.
We recently adopted Elvis, an Australian Shepherd. He was adopted from a rescued group that saved him from a puppy mill. Our lives are also graced by four wonderful felines, Penelope, Timmy & Molly. Timmie is a rescue, Molly was adopted from Hope to Home for Cats in Yucaipa and Penelope found us!
The boarding office is the home of our three rescue birds: Wally, an African Grey; Louie, a Yellow Nape Amazon Parrot; and Baby Girl, a Cockatiel Come by and meet them! There is never a dull moment when you have two talking parrots and a cockatiel that sings the entire rendition of “The Andy Griffith Show!” And, yes! We do board birds!
